I’m stuck in the basement- sitting on a tricycle, girl getting on my nerves…going out of my mind-I thought she was fine, don’t know if her body is her’s
For those who know me, understand that I am an avid Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fan and am able to recite most of the lines on each episode. But today I began thinking about my life and how far that I have came. I thought of some of my personal life lessons and began to recall a conversation of yesteryear (or yesterday) and pondered the question, “What do you need to be successful”? During this time, The above Fresh Prince quote came into mind. Why? Why was I thinking about Will Smith on a tricycle- in the basement-after an earth quake; while donning a black tuxedo with a mandarin collar, Jordan’s, a toothpick and a wig cocked to the side of his head?
Well that was my lesson. Often times we see the beautiful things that attract us but do not see the product before the end result. To me life is like the game of BOGGLE. During this game, one must create words by connecting letters on a 4X4 board. On the outside, people may just see a bunch of letters, but to the players there is a word (message) encoded in it. Sometimes we need to sit on our own tricycle after an earthquake in order to see that message.
Keep chasing pavement…
The man behind the pen
